Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure

  • Deploy and manage infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Work with additional cloud providers such as Hetzner, OVH, DigitalOcean, and others based on project requirements.

  • Provision, configure, and maintain development, staging, and production environments.

  • Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, availability, and cost.

Platform Engineering & DevOps

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

  • Automate deployment processes.

  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and Docker Compose.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

  • Improve deployment reliability and release efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot deployment and production issues.

Server Administration

  • Administer Ubuntu Linux servers.

  • Manage Bare Metal Servers and Virtual Machines.

  • Configure operating systems, networking, and storage.

  • Perform server upgrades, migrations, and patch management.

  • Monitor server health and performance.

Database Administration

Manage production databases including:

  • PostgreSQL

  • MySQL

  • MongoDB

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation & Configuration

  • Backup & Restore

  • Replication

  • Performance Tuning

  • High Availability & Failover

  • Monitoring & Alerting

  • Disaster Recovery

Monitoring & Reliability

  • Build dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Configure infrastructure monitoring and alerting.

  • Perform root cause analysis for production incidents.

  • Improve system reliability and uptime.

  • Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.

Networking & Security

  • Configure and manage Nginx, Reverse Proxies, SSL/TLS, DNS, Firewalls, and Load Balancers.

  • Implement infrastructure hardening and security best practices.

  • Manage IAM, SSH access, secrets, and authentication mechanisms.

  • Ensure regular security updates and vulnerability remediation.

Automation & Scripting

Develop automation using:

  • Bash

  • Python

  • PowerShell

  • Node.js

Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve engineering productivity.

AI-Assisted Engineering (Mandatory)

We expect engineers to effectively leverage AI as part of their daily workflow.

Examples include:

  • ChatGPT

  • Claude

  • GitHub Copilot

  • Cursor

  • Similar AI engineering tools

AI should be used to improve:

  • Infrastructure automation

  • Troubleshooting

  • Documentation

  • Scripting

  • Operational efficiency

  • Knowledge sharing

Technical Skills

Must Have

  • Ubuntu Linux Administration

  • Docker & Docker Compose

  • Terraform

  • Git & GitHub

  • GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
